Antique 17th-18th Century Islamic Indo Persian Safavid Tinned Copper Bowl
Antique 17th-18th century Islamic Indo-Persian Safavid tinned-copper footed bowl. The bowl is tall and is made of cast, turned copper. It has a deep form and a flaring foot. It is decorated with elaborate Arabic calligraphy, which has been chiseled and engraved into the copper. The calligraphy is paired with composite palmettes. The pronounced rim of the bowl is also embellished with a continuous key pattern.
