Antique 17th century European Halberd
An antique 17th-Century European halberd head entirely made of hand-forged steel with a sturdy double-edged central spike and a medial ridge.
A robust crescentic, engraved axe blade is shaped like a bird, while the rear blade is shaped like a perching bird with an engraved body and tail formed into a downturned rear fluke.
An integral tapered octagonal socket is notched with two rings at the top.
CONDITION: Shows age and heavy use, the base of the socket smashed.
