SOLD Antique 18th century Scottish Highlander Gun Powder Horn Flask
Antique 18th century circa. 1750 A.D fine Scottish powder horn made of a flattened cow horn incised on each side with concentric circles, a spout modeled in the form of a dragon’s head, pierced with a hole for suspension, and fitted with a wooden base plate notched on the edge with an irregular pattern.
CONDITION: Retains in untouched condition, the horn and wooden surfaces with scattered handling marks, abrasions, signs of use/wear, and age cracks in the horn at the base.
