Antique 19th Century Turkish Ottoman Islamic Silver Inlay Wooden Vase Tughra
An antique 19th-century Turkish Ottoman Islamic vase made of turned wood with silver inlay. The bottle-shaped vase rests on a circular base and features a low, round body that rises to a tall trumpet neck.
The neck has a molded ring lip adorned with a zigzag pattern made of silver wire.
The vase's body is adorned with silver wire, featuring scrolling and swaying foliated motifs, including stylized tulip buds. The neck displays the Turkish Ottoman Sultan monogram "Tughra" along with a floral band.
This silver inlay technique is found on 19th-century wooden stocks of Turkish Ottoman flintlock pistols, rifles, and other wooden objects.
CONDITION: There are two chips in the rim of the neck and minor loss to the silver wire inlay; otherwise, it is in good condition.
