Antique Austro-Hungarian Gilt Silver Enameled and Jeweled Cross Pendant

Superb quality antique 19th-century Austro-Hungarian gilt silver, enameled and jeweled cross pendant beautifully handcrafted in the Renaissance revival style.
This stunning cross pendant is made of solid silver. It has been gilded with gold and adorned with white, red, green, and black enamel. The pendant is also embellished with 27 natural turquoise cabochons, 9 faceted garnets, some set in floral designs, and 1 central garnet cabochon.
The reverse is finely pierced and engraved in open work with intricate patterns, such as the central Jerusalem cross, fleurs-de-lis, and scrolls. These patterns are highlighted with black enamel. The loop is fitted with a suspension ring.
Although there are no marks, the item has undergone an acid test and is guaranteed to be at least 800-850 purity silver.

CONDITION: Age and use are showing. It is in excellent condition for its age, except for minor losses to the enamel. Free of repairs or restorations.
