Antique Central Asian Brass Teapot - Ewer 19th century Bukhara – Samarkand
An antique 19th-century Transoxiana Indo-Persian Islamic Central Asian Bukhara-Samarkand hand-hammered brass teapot-ewer.
The object features a tear-shaped body that rests on a flaring trumpet foot. It has a curved spout with a short neck, a domed hinged cover, and a serpentine handle.
The body comprises multiple elements crafted from hand-hammered brass and is decorated with embossed drop-shaped panels and intricately hand-chased split-leaf arabesques.
