Antique Native American Plains Indian Stone War Club with Beaded Ornament
This remarkable artifact is an authentic, museum-quality Native American Indian war club originating from the Northern Plains, dating approximately between 1750 and 1850 AD. The club features a distinctive stone ball head, robust and meticulously crafted, expertly mounted on a wooden haft. The haft is wrapped in rawhide and securely stitched closed with sinew, showcasing the skill of its maker.
The club is embellished with blue-dyed horsehair, which cascades down from a leather strap adorned with intricately placed glass beads. This striking strap is temporarily affixed to the club's handle with metal wire.
CONDITION: The item clearly displays the characteristics of age and wear, showcasing a stunning and rich patina that highlights its historical value and unique story.
