Pair Napoleonic Berlin porcelain portrait Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia
Pair of exquisite antique 19th century Berlin (Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur) (Royal Porcelain Manufacture) porcelain cups and saucers in Biedermeier style, finely hand painted with a portrait of the Frederick William III (or in German: Friedrich Wilhelm III) King of Prussia from 1797 to 1840. The king is wearing the blue uniform with epaulettes and red and gold stand-up collar; with attached to the coat Star of the Order of the Black Eagle, the Iron Cross of Prussia and the Cross of St. George of Russia. All in oval gold gilt frames and bordered with gold gilt rims.
The Queen Louise of Prussia wife of King Frederick William III is wearing crown, headband, and elegant empire-line dress.
Each hand painted with the Royal name and marked with an under glaze blue scepter.
CONDITION: in very good condition no chips, cracks, crazing with no restorations, or repairs.
DEMENSION: The saucer diameter 14 cm (5 1/2 in), cup high without the handle 10.5 cm (4 1/8 in).
