A superb quality antique Pre-Columbian Olmec stone celt axe , circa 1000-600 B.C. carved of speckled black, polished hard stone (possibly Jade - chloromelanite) of tall expanding form, with slightly squared sides, and a sharpened edge.
CONDITION: Showing its age and usage, some chips ,otherwise in good condition.The stone is in fact, darker than it appears in the pictures, because we had used a strong light during the photographing to show the details of the stone.
