This striking piece showcases an intricately carved wooden finial depicting an ancestral figure, embodying the spiritual essence of its cultural significance. The finial features almond-shaped eyes inlaid with lustrous cowrie shells, adding a captivating glimmer that draws the eye. The surface is richly painted in deep black, accentuated with vibrant white polychrome highlights that enhance the details of the carving.
This remarkable finial is mounted on a slender, hollowed-out bamboo staff, elegantly wrapped with decorative cane bands, creating a harmonious blend of artistry and function.
 
CONDITION: Considering its age, it is in good condition, showing signs of wear and age cracks, which are common in old wood.
