SOLD Antique Japanese Cloisonne Incense Burner Koro 19th Century Japan

SOLD Good quality, antique Japanese cloisonne enamel incense burner (koro) and cover, with gold gilt bronze mounts Attributed to Honda Yosaburo of Kyoto, Meiji period (late 19th century). The cloisonne koro of squat ovoid form, set on four gilt shaped feet, finely worked in very fine wire with multicolor enamels and speckled goldstone, with two opposing panels depicting ho-o bird and butterfly, amongst flowering vines. Pierced, dome-like cover surmounted by a kiku bud finial.


Condition: The Koro is in excellent condition overall, no cracks, chips, restorations, or repairs.
